Friday Oct 26th (technically Oct 27th since it starts at 1am) I will be pursuing my goals to push myself beyond physical limits and will be participating in my first Goruck Challenge. It is a military based challenge (NOT a race) and it can last 12+ hours. I cannot believe how excited I am to go. Tough Mudder was one thing… and that was not easy…. not THAT tough… but not easy.
This should be incredible. I cannot wait. I know that I went in a different direction from the body building route. However, I do not need to get on stage and be judged on my physique by stranger for personal validation. But I do want to be part of a team that starts as strangers and is put through activity after challenge to create bonds that only those who accomplish a task Together can have.
Look out. Fun sized Heif is coming to Salem.
Tonight is a night I wish I could take away the pain and anguish of those I love. To see circumstances that are beyond control hurting people who deserve to be happy, makes me feel useless and ineffective. Time will tell all outcomes, but waiting is the hardest part.
